Paul Burleson

Paul Burleson is a native of Texas and has been married to Dallas Johnson Burleson for 38 years. He has resided in Colorado since 1969. Paul is the father of one son, Darrel and two daughters, Stacie and Paula. He is a devoted grandfather to Paul Denzel, Jaylon JaPaul, Darrell and Marquis.

Paul has been the Pastor and Founder of the Friendship Baptist Church of Christ Jesus in Denver, Colorado since 1974. While Pastoring, he worked for U. S. West Communications for 28 years, retiring in 1997 as an Engineer. He was the Managing Equipment Engineer for southern Colorado and Washington State.

Paul presently serves on or has membership in the following: President Elect, Greater Metropolitan Denver Ministerial Alliance-2005  Appointed by the Mayor of Denver, Mayor John Hickenlooper to the Citizen’s Oversight Board, City and County of Denver  Board Member of the Metro Denver Urban League  Member of the University of Colorado Blue Ribbon Commission Paul has a Master’s Degree in Theology and Christian Education from the United Theological Seminary and is a veteran, having served four years in the United States Air Force from 1965-1969.
